Gary & Morag were presented with the magnificent 'Falcon Cup' at the Royal Dorset Yacht Club annual prize giving dinner in November following their victory in this years Royal Dorset YC 'Lulworth Race'. They've had a successful year - in addition to the Falcon Cup, they also took home the award for first overall in the Royal Dorset YC Class 2 Friday evening series and claimed 5th place overall in this summers tough 'Henri Lloyd' Weymouth Regatta.

Yacht racing is all about team work - good crew are vital and most of them this year have been enduro riders including SCEC Expert and Vet stars Steve Harding & Chris Boyce, together with Championship rider Danny Hall.

This is serious FUN, you don't need experience (they'll teach you as they go) and it won't cost you a bean - what are you waiting for!

Friday afternoon Mountain Bike Rides

Alan Wakely leads MTB rides around Puddletown Forest most Friday afternoons. If you haven't been there you don't know what you're missing - the place is awesome! BIG hills, little hills, North Shore, easy and CRAZY jumps. The only problem is it's really easy to get lost if you don't go with someone who knows the place.

There are always more cowards than nutters in the group so don't be shy - meet at the Hardy's Cottage car park at Higher Brockhampton (Post Code: DT2 8QJ) at 13:30. Contact Gary at SCEC for Alan's number.

In the real world there's no sighting lap. You get one shot at it, and it's not all about bikes - So why not try something new? Why not join some of the other lads & lasses Mountain Biking, Windsurfing, Surfing, Canoing, Sailing or whatever? - at SCEC "Enjoy the Ride" is not just the moto for our club - it's our moto for life!
